Extraordinary duo Caplin & Massiah — comprising producer/songwriter Paul Caplin and powerhouse vocalist Zeeteah Massiah, a real-life couple — are set to release their debut album Chemistry on April 11. A bold, genre-blending journey through Afrobeats, dancehall, reggae and pop, Chemistry distills decades of musical experience into 13 unforgettable tracks.

“We’ve bottled the spark between us and let it explode into music,” says Paul. “Chemistry fuses our influences to tell a story — a celebration of love, struggle, joy and connection,” adds Zeeteah.
From the seductive sweetness of ‘Chocolate’ to the emotional fire of ‘Shaped Like You’ — an angsty, beat-driven anthem — the album balances joy and heartbreak, protest and passion. Collaborators Dynamite (the St Vincent soca star) and Danglin (previously chart-topping lead singer with the Wailers) help shape a sound as rich as it is real.

Musically, the duo draws inspiration from a wide spectrum — from the searing emotion of Nina Simone to the fearless flair of Doechii — creating what might just be the perfect “dance-cry” soundtrack. Every note was crafted in their home studio, where ideas sparked by life, love, adventure and art are brought to life.

Both artists come with serious credentials. Zeeteah topped the US Billboard Dance Chart with Slide on the Rhythm (as lead vocalist for Arizona), toured with Michael Jackson and Tom Jones, and shared the stage with legends like Paul Weller, Phil Collins, and Robbie Williams. Paul, a former math prodigy, co-founded 80s cult pop trio Haysi Fantayzee, scoring hit singles and a gold album before reinventing himself as a tech entrepreneur and then music producer.

Caplin & Massiah have already been featured in Wonderland and the Daily Mail, and aired on BBC Radio 6, and now they’re ready to bring their music to the stage. They celebrated Chemistry with a live showcase on April 15.

With deep grooves, fearless songwriting, and undeniable synergy, Chemistry is the sound of two artists uniting their worlds — and inviting you to move to the rhythm of their story.
