Oklahoma native/Texas-based troubadour Corey Kent is adding to his monumental year with the upcoming release of his new project, ’23—a one take, stripped-back project that Kent made specifically for his fans—out December 28th (PRE-SAVE HERE). This also comes alongside the announcement that Corey will return to the UK in January 2024 to support Ashley McBryde, which kicks off on the 17th January in Southampton and includes Eventim Apollo in London on the 20th January.

“’23. No producer. No band. Just a man, his guitar, and wooden chair in a studio down the road from his home in TX. Nothing to hide behind. Just one shot at a raw performance. Imperfections & all. A collection of 9 songs for the fans that brought him this far. A thank you to those who believed before anyone else. This is’23,” says Kent about the project.

The announce is accompanied by the release of “Southeast Oklahoma Pines,” a love letter that pays homage to his hometown of Broken Bow, Oklahoma. Telling the tales of generations and expressing the unexplainable comfort in returning home, Kent is reminded that even when life seems to be against him, “ain’t nothing in the world can bring me down” when he’s surrounded by the Oklahoma pines. The fan-driven project will also feature the highly personal song about Kent’s wife, “You Know.”

2023 has been a busy year for Corey Kent the adventure-seeking road veteran joined Parker McCollum on tour, played multiple festivals and recently wrapped being on the road for Jason Aldean’s 42-city “Highway Desperado” tour playing in front of 15,000+ people each night. To close out the year, he will headline shows of his own. Kent will start 2024 in the UK to play shows with Ashley McBryde before joining up with friend Parker McCollum for 39 dates in the states beginning in February.
