Ahead of representing Australia at this year’s Eurovision Song Contest this weekend in Vienna, Delta Goodrem has announced she will be releasing her new album ‘Pure’ on November 6th via Universal Music. Pre-order/save here.
With more than 9 million units sold across her multi-gold and platinum-certified #1 albums – including an exceptional 23x platinum for her landmark debut “Innocent Eyes” – as well as billions of global streams, 9 #1 singles, and a host of prestigious awards, the acclaimed singer-songwriter from Down Under is now set to captivate European audiences.
Speaking about the album, Delta says: “Pure is an album I’ve been creating and living through over the past few years, and it truly feels like a return to myself and the heart of who I am as an artist. It holds some of my biggest singalongs, my most vulnerable moments, and brings in all the elements I love most in music – from intimate classical piano pieces to uplifting cinematic anthems. I cannot wait for everyone to step into the world of Pure and make these songs part of their own story too.”
Delta Goodrem is the very definition of a multi-hyphenate talent: as an accomplished singer-songwriter, actress, author, and entrepreneur she has left an indelible mark on the global entertainment landscape. Her 2003 debut “Innocent Eyes” soared to #1 in Australia, the UK, and Japan, becoming one of the highest-selling albums in Australian history. Quickly building momentum, Delta followed up with a string of #1 albums, including “Mistaken Identity” (2004), “Delta” (2007), “Wings of the Wild” (2016), and “Bridge over Troubled Dreams” in 2021.
In addition to countless accolades such as the prestigious World Music Award, MTV Music Video Award, and Kids’ Choice Award, Delta was awarded the ARIA Artist of the Decade in 2010, having sold more albums and singles than any other domestic or international artist in that time. As an accomplished songwriter, Goodrem has written and performed songs with Celine Dion, Olivia Newton-John, Tony Bennett, Michael Bolton, LeAnn Rimes. Delta also toured with the likes of Shania Twain, The Backstreet Boys, Andrea Bocelli, Ricky Martin and Michael Bolton.
