Multi-Platinum American trio SHAED have dropped new single and album-opener Dizzy, the last song released in advance of their highly anticipated debut LP – High Dive – which arrives on 14th May via Photo Finish Records. The song’s suspenseful production – courtesy of twin brothers Spencer and Max Ernst – and Chelsea Lee’s haunting vocal hooks are further bolstered by an equally stunning music video directed by Daniel St. Ours.

“COVID stopped everything full force and we reached a point when we were relying too much on alcohol at the end of the day just to numb everything. After getting way too dizzy… we woke up and poured our hearts into writing for the album.” – SHAED

Dizzy and High Dive find SHAED tackling their vices, anxieties, depression, and insecurities head on while taking a deep dive toward self-discovery. The trio recently sat down with mental health organisation Sound Mind for their Unmasked series and opened up about personal breakthroughs, seeking professional help, and building healthier lifestyles. Upon announcing their debut album SHAED also partnered with Teen Line, donating a percentage of proceeds from pre-orders to their mental health initiatives.

High Dive was produced by SHAED with additional production from GRAMMY Award-winning producer Ariel Rechtshaid (HAIM, Vampire Weekend, Charli XCX) and producer Josh Fountain (BENEE) on several tracks. The album features strings by the FAME’s Macedonian Symphonic Orchestra – directed over Zoom by the band and composer Jherek Bischoff (Angel Olsen, Brian Eno) – guest appearances from ZAYN, Lewis Del Mar and Two Feet, and mastering by GRAMMY Award-winning engineer Emily Lazar (Sia, David Bowie, Sleigh Bells).

Dizzy is available to stream HERE via all DSPs and you can watch the official music video HERE. Tune-in to the band’s free livestream Twitch performance at Brooklyn Steel on May 27th HERE, and stay tuned HERE for all up-to-date information on new music and performances.
