Alt-pop artist Henry Morris releases his highly anticipated album Kiss Me Extra Hard – listen HERE. With features from G-Eazy and Ella Boh, the 11-track album explores the ache of lost love and the toxic pull of longing for someone you can no longer have, offering an honest voice to those who feel misunderstood or out of place.
“In 32 minutes and 57 seconds, Kiss Me Extra Hard is a summary of painful lessons”, Morris shares. “All the drugs, sex, and money in the world don’t compare in the slightest to a moment alone with the woman I loved in complete silence.”
Produced by Morris, Kevin White (BTS, Bazzi, Artemas), and Taylor Ross (David Guetta, Bebe Rexha), Kiss Me Extra Hard embodies the realization that external pleasures cannot replace genuine emotional connection. The focus track ‘Rather Fight’ explores the tension between love and conflict, capturing the desire to hold onto a difficult relationship rather than find happiness with someone else.
“This song is about a girl I loved with all my heart”, says Henry. “I’d rather be arguing with her than laughing with someone else. It takes a special kind of love to get along with someone you don’t get along with. This song is a 3 minute summary of a feeling no one’s ever fully articulated. Here’s my hopeless attempt. Forever and always xo.”
Kiss Me Extra Hard also includes previously released singles ‘My Girlfriend (Feat. Ella Boh)’, ‘High All The Time (Feat. G-Eazy)’, and ‘One Night Stand’
Morris began his career as one half of indie duo Playyard while producing and collaborating with college roommate Saint Levant, including on breakout track ‘Jerusalem Freestyle’. After touring internationally with Saint Levant, he launched his solo career in 2023 with ‘He Could Never Love You’, followed by two albums and a creative partnership with Artemas that helped shape the more instinctive sound behind Kiss Me Extra Hard.
