Liam Payne has today released his brand-new single ‘Familiar’ with J Balvin. The single, out now on Capitol Records, will feature on Liam’s highly anticipated debut album, due for release later this year.

‘Familiar’ mixes Latin influences with a throwback RnB club sound to create a track ideal for the summer. Liam appears on the record alongside J Balvin – one of Colombia’s biggest musical exports and the 7th most-streamed artist of all time on Spotify – who lends his inimitable reggaeton-infused vocals to this track.

Liam launched his solo career with debut single ‘Strip That Down’ featuring Quavo – the biggest-selling single solo single from a current member of One Direction. The song has sold over 8.5 million units to date, been certified triple platinum in Australia, double platinum in Canada and Ireland, with platinum status in the USA, UK, Italy, New Zealand and Sweden.

He then followed ‘Strip That Down’ with his sophomore single ‘Bedroom Floor’, which has over 80 million streams on Spotify, and saw Bella Thorne star alongside Liam for its official video.

Liam’s most recent single was his duet with Rita Ora, ‘For You’, for the Fifty Shades Freed Official Soundtrack. The single was number on iTunes globally, spent thirteen weeks on the UK Singles Chart, peaking at number 8 and was number one on the UK and European airplay charts. It has in excess of 130 million streams on Spotify, and the official video has over 100 million views to date.

‘Familiar’ by Liam Payne and J Balvin is out now on Capitol Records.
