Italian composer Ludovico Einaudi today announces ‘The Summer Portraits Live’ album, to be released on 12th June on Decca.

Recorded live in London at The Royal Albert Hall in 2025, this new collection includes favourites from The Summer Portraits as well as much-loved classics such as ‘I Giorni’, ‘Nuvole Bianche’ and ‘Experience’. Along with this announcement is the release of the first single, ‘Pathos’ (live).

The live album is announced as Einaudi’s 2026 Solo Piano Tour, including two nights at London’s Royal Albert Hall, comes to a close, and ahead of his biggest ever UK performance, at The O2 on Friday 10th July 2026. Due to exceptional demand, a second night was quickly added, on Saturday 11th July 2026. As with his record-breaking run of six nights at the Royal Albert Hall in 2025, Einaudi will be joined by his full band.

The 2025 chart-topping Summer Portraits album was inspired by a collection of paintings on the walls of a villa on a Mediterranean island, where Einaudi stayed one summer. Upon investigation, he discovered the story of a woman who owned the house and spent every summer there with her family. She used to create new paintings every summer and leave them in the house. “So I started to make my own paintings with music.” said Ludovico.

Over the past three decades, Ludovico Einaudi has quietly become the world’s most successful contemporary classical artist, with music that has reached millions through film, television and live performances worldwide.

From record-breaking residencies at some of the world’s most prestigious concert halls to iconic cultural venues (including the Barbican, the Sydney Opera House and the Royal Albert Hal), Einaudi continues to bring his evocative music to audiences around the globe.
