Latin music’s leading lyricist and global superstar, Myke Towers, releases the anticipated official music video for “CELOS” – off of his acclaimed fourth studio album, LA VIDA ES UNA – alongside Colombian superstar, J Balvin. Watch the music video here.
From the intricate arrangement of gloomy wardrobe to the meticulous choice of scenery, the video for “CELOS” seamlessly captures the eerie essence of this groundbreaking track. Possessing somber tones and cool hues to match the sharp, frigid feeling of New York, “CELOS” sees Towers and Balvin confidently indulge in their forceful wordplay while innately performing through their verses – fueling off of each other’s energy to bring the vision for the song to life.
Earlier this month, Towers celebrated hitting #1 on Billboard’s Latin Airplay chart thanks to smash hits: “Caramelo” with Ozuna and Karol G; “Bandido” alongside Juhn; Manuel Turizo, Rauw Alejandro, and Towers’ “La Nota”; “Bésame” with Luis Fonsi; “Mi Niña” alongside Los Legendarios and Wisin; power collaboration “Travesuras”; and “Pareja Del Año” alongside Sebastian Yatra.
In April, Towers joined forces with reggaeton pioneer, Daddy Yankee, for the momentous release of “Gasolina” (Safari Riot Remix) – a new remix of his 2004 global hit song, “Gasolina.” The track merges his staple reggaetón sound with the high-energy Brazilian funk and Colombian elements Towers has become known for. The remix is part of the original motion picture soundtrack to the new chapter in the Fast & Furious Saga, Fast X out on May 19th in conjunction with the film’s global release in theaters. Following the groundbreaking remix, Towers embraced the arrival of his long-awaited album, LA VIDA ES UNA, with a striking performance of his hit song “MI DROGA” at the 2023 Latin American Music Awards. In addition to his own presentation, Myke also joined Puerto Rican superstar Justin Quiles’ performance of their power collaboration, “Whiskey y Coco.”
Since the release of LA VIDA ES UNA, Towers’ unique perspective, style, and lyrical abilities has garnered him much success on the album – debuting in the Top 10 on Billboard’s Top Latin Albums chart.
