Kickstarting 2020 with a huge announcement, and starting the new decade as she means to go on, Nadia Sheikh will be releasing her new single ‘Get Away’ on Friday 17th January, as well as going on a mammoth UK / European tour supporting Stereophonics .

UK tour dates

18/1 – Uni Mountford Hall, Liverpool – UK

19/1 – O2 Academy, Leeds – UK

The half British, half Spanish songwriter and multi-instrumentalist will be heading out on the road with her 4-piece band, showcasing her incredible anthemic indie-pop-rock catalogue. A day before the tour starts, Nadia will be releasing her new single ‘Get Away,’ (produced by Jamie Morrison (drummer in Stereophonics) and Nigel Walker (Paul McCartney, Elton John) an arena-worthy, raw, adrenalised rock track delivered straight from the heart, to the heart. Since her debut EP ’50 Feet’ was released in 2013, Nadia’s been turning heads with her expressive vocal work, beefy guitar hooks, incredible song-writing abilities and downright likeability – ‘Get Away’ is no exception and joins the likes of ‘Toxic’ and ‘Break Free’ in her ever-growing catalogue of music.

Touring the world is becoming something of the norm for Nadia, who since residing to London has made her way up and down the UK with her band, including supporting the likes of fellow up-and-comers Sophie and the Giants and Spanish superstars Efecto Pasillo, playing at Isle Of Wight Festival and FIB Benicassim, and headlining shows across the board. Her fearless stage presence and impeccable performances have turned the heads of some of the biggest names in the business, and now she’s about to take on the biggest challenge of her career so far with Rowan Davies (bass / backing vocals), George Gardiner (drums, backing vocals) and Lorenzo Passarella (lead guitar / backing vocals).

With a whole host of collective thumbs ups across the industry, Nadia was named in This Feeling’s ‘Big in 2018’ list and has received airplay on Radio X, BBC Radio 2, Radio 3 (Spain), BBC Introducing and Planet Rock to name a few. The music video for her single ‘Toxic’ also received a play on the Spanish national TV channel RTVE and it was playlisted on the UK’s BT TV Music channel too. Her addictive blend of heavy, emotive guitar playing and infectious vocal hooks and melodies is making it’s way across the globe, and now she’s taking it one step further with the release of ‘Get Away,’ a full EP release imminent and supporting Stereophonics.

There’s no doubt that this is a huge time for Nadia Sheikh, and one thing is for sure – she’s only just getting started.
