Nathan Evans & The Saint PHNX Band have unveiled a brand-new version of their signature, anthemic hit Home in celebration of the Scotland Men’s Football Team’s imminent World Cup World Finals adventure.
The World Cup Version of Home pays homage to the heroes of Scotland’s qualifying campaign who famously took the team and country through to the finals for the first time since 1998, in a thrilling 4-2 victory against Denmark at Glasgow’s Hampden Park in November.
The band played the rousing new version live for the first time to close their headline set at Islay’s Rock’ndaal Festival on Sunday 24th May. It will be released this Wednesday 27th May when Nathan and the Saint PHNX brothers – Al and Stevie Jukes – will appear at a special free pop-up performance at Glasgow’s Princes Square – on stage at 1pm.
The boys headline Northern Meeting Park in Inverness on Friday 29th May and will be in Boston for events in the run-up to the finals themselves and to support the team at the first group match against Haiti on 14th June.
The new single follows the huge success of Nathan and Saint PHNX’s collaborative album Angels’ Share, which topped the charts in Scotland and hit the UK Top 5 on its release in January. Sold out UK, US and European tours followed and the trio will perform at Isle of Wight and Latitude festivals as well as headlining their own family-oriented Heather On The Hill Festival at Edinburgh’s Royal Highland Centre on August 22nd.
