Jo O’Meara’s recent resurgence with her second solo album ‘With Love’ has been one of 2021’s most fascinating comebacks. Arriving 16 years after her debut, the album showed that the vocal elegance that graced so many iconic S Club 7 hits had only grown more accomplished during her time away from the spotlight. The positive reaction that greeted the album was boosted with a recent sold-out show at London’s Hippodrome.

While a new chapter in her life and career is firmly underway, Jo is proud of everything she achieved with S Club 7. Now she shares a new unplugged take on their unforgettable signature song ‘Never Had A Dream Come True’. Listen HERE.

Even in pared back acoustic style, ‘Never Had A Dream Come True’ has all the hallmarks of a hit. With Jo’s powerhouse vocals, a timeless melody, and a heartfelt lyric, it’s both true to the spirit of the original and still relevant to Jo and her fans all these years later.

This new unplugged version is perfectly timed, as tomorrow represents the 21st anniversary of the release of the original song. Released in 2000, it went straight to #1 and spent six weeks in the Top 10 over the festive season. Its enduring popularity means that it has received over 63 million streams at Spotify, despite emerging long before the streaming era commenced.

Jo commented, “I am so excited to have re-recorded one of my favourite S Club  songs! ‘Never Had A Dream Come True’ has always been special to me, so getting to go back in the studio and re-vocal it after 21 years was very special. I’m enjoying doing new acoustic stripped back versions of classic S Club classic hits.”

Jo’s passion for playing acoustically resulted in her recently announcing details of her first ever unplugged solo show. She will play PizzaExpress Live in Holborn, London on February 28th. Tickets are available here.

Another acoustic S Club favourite, ‘Don’t Stop Movin’’, features on the ‘With Love’ album. Blending modern pop, R&B, echoes of the ‘80s and a touch of Nashville country, the album presents a bright new start in Jo’s remarkable story.
