Alternative trio NOISY today release their brand new mixtape ‘FAST FWD: to friday [Vol 1]’ via Concord Records. Stream the EP here.
Harnessing a DIY approach to everything they do, ‘FAST FWD: to Friday [Vol 1]’ is an authentic collection of organically sourced collaborations. Their self-sufficient mindset is one of the driving forces of NOISY (comprised of singer Cody, guitarist Connor and producer Spencer), who pride themselves on owning creative control, writing, recording and producing all of their music, designing their own merch and often shooting their own music videos.
From the hedonistic heights of ‘DANCEFLOOR’ (ft Charlotte Plank) and the rolling ‘IN MY ZONE’ (ft Tinchy Stryder) to the slick production of ‘2AM’ (ft Good Health Good Wealth), the mixtape encapsulates a variety of sounds that all embody freedom and the feeling of letting go of life’s stresses. Made for a Friday night and escaping to the weekend, the mixtape emphasises on the trio’s ethos of bringing people together, a true sense of community running throughout.
The band says about the mixtape: “This mixtape was proper fun to put together. We wanted every track to offer something slightly different and it was important to us that each artist we worked with had total freedom to bring their own style to the tracks. The concept of our club night in Brighton is that we have different artists play each night, they do a set, we do a set and then we perform a song together that we’ve written beforehand. After a few months of putting the night on, we quickly realised that we were putting together a pretty incredible body of work. We’re so excited to share it with you all and really get the party started”
Alongside the mixtape release, NOISY today release the bouncing ‘REMEDY’ featuring Dead Pony. Closing the mixtape with its blood pumping beat, it’s a track that brings an alternative edge.
