POM, aka the Power Of Music, have today announced POM Presents: POM PARTIES, with the launch event to take place on the 4th July. The most highly anticipated dating app, which is set to launch this year, POM reveal that the all day party will take place from 12pm to 10pm at Night Tales, Hackney, and feature a DJ set from the brilliant Shanti Celeste. The dating app for music lovers already has over 10,000 people signed up to its waiting list which went live just a fortnight ago. The full app is to launch on the 27th July. POM, which focuses on users forging connections through their shared music tastes, want to help their users find love online but also through their carefully curated real-life events and dating experiences. POM allows their users to see a person’s true, emotional profile instead of a series of facetuned photos and misleading bios, bringing back the organic nature of meeting someone. POM not only want to help their users to find love, they’re also about creating and delivering genuine, life changing moments. POM users sign up and connect their music streaming service (the initial launch is compatible with Spotify and Apple Music) to their profile, allowing their tastes to then be analysed by POM’s smart algorithms. POM uses a first of it’s kind algorithm in order to determine the users emotional profile based on the music they listen to. A dating app unlike any other!

POM was created by young, up-and-coming entrepreneurs Vihan Patel and Vladimir Ignatyev. Prompted by his time hosting club nights, Vihan saw that the music we listen to has a fundamental impact on who we are, from what we wear, drink and who we spend our time with. This led Vihan to be inspired to think about creating an app that utilises the power of music to help bring people together. He quickly secured private investment and the idea for POM was born.
