Prominent multi-instrumentalist and songwriter known as Roosevelt (Marius Lauber’s stage name) has just unveiled his latest track, “Forevermore,” a glistening indie-pop love song. In contrast to his recent funk-influenced singles like “Ordinary Love,” “Luna,” “Paralyzed,” and the more electronic-leaning “Rising,” “Forevermore” presents an upbeat slice of indie-pop. It perfectly showcases Roosevelt’s musical prowess and knack for crafting catchy melodies. Over the course of three minutes, Lauber skillfully blends synthesizers with guitars and drums, creating a sound that melds the euphoric elements of electronica with the infectious grooves of classic funk and disco. This track highlights Roosevelt’s deep appreciation for the history of dance music, blending old and new elements seamlessly. It’s bound to be a standout moment during Roosevelt’s upcoming headlining UK tour this autumn.

Regarding the track, Roosevelt mentioned, “I’ve had this guitar riff in my head for weeks, like an earworm that I hadn’t yet recorded. When producing it, I drew inspiration from bands like Whitest Boy Alive, who excel at simplifying songs to their core. As a result, it has a stripped-down, enjoyable arrangement that aims to bring joy and effortlessness to this record. Kat Frankie, who also provided backing vocals on several tracks from my previous album, contributed fantastic harmonies to this track, enhancing the vocal delivery.”

Scheduled for release on September 22nd, ‘Embrace’ represents Roosevelt’s most fully-realized project to date. The album features deeply personal lyrics and emotive instrumentals seamlessly interwoven with irresistible disco basslines, making it ideal for a summer dance party. Inspired by the realization that he could no longer relate to the stagnant lives of his childhood friends, ‘Embrace’ strikes a balance between intimacy and expansiveness. It reaffirms Roosevelt’s standing as one of the world’s most innovative young songwriters.

Beginning on 1st December, Roosevelt will be heading out on the European leg of his tour. Pulling from his diverse catalog and inspired by his own experiences DJing, the Roosevelt live show will feature fluid transitions between songs and a three-piece backing band.
