Steps recently released Heartbreak In This City with the legendary Michelle Visage and it quickly became one of their most talked about singles and a now firm fan favourite. The band and Michelle performed it live on The Graham Norton Show earlier this month and now, after much demand from fans, they release today a special remix package of the single.
The remix package features special versions by Saint and Shortland and the full track listing is below. Talking about the single and the remixes, Steps added: “The reaction to ‘Heartbreak in This City’ and the music video has blown us all away. Pop legends Steps have also recently announced What The Future Holds Pt. 2, a very special new version of their #2 album. The band announced the exciting album news on a YouTube Rodeo livestream event in which they premiered the music video for Heartbreak In This City. The video features a classic Steps dance routine choreographed by Mark Jennings and was directed by Harold Strachan, who also directed the video for previous single To The Beat Of My Heart. Produced by Ben Hutchinson for Submarine Films, it was predominantly shot in Manchester and in keeping with current restrictions, Lisa Scott-Lee filmed her scenes in Dubai with a local crew, with the UK team overseeing by Zoom. What The Future Holds went Silver within the first month of its release and was the most downloaded album in the UK over the Christmas period. The five-piece will also be heading on their sure-to-be epic What The Future Holds Tour in November, headlining 18 arena shows across the UK including two dates at London’s The O2 and will be joined by the brilliant Sophie Ellis-Bextor as a special guest.
