Take That have confirmed their special live podcast episode, previously recorded in front of an audience at London’s Leicester Square Theatre, will be released on Thursday 14th December. Lucky fans in attendance on the night heard the band talk about new album This Life, answer questions from the audience plus welcome Sam Ryder and Nicole Scherzinger to the podcast for fun, festive chats. Proceeds from the show benefitted Global’s Make Some Noise charity.

The announcement comes hot on the heels of the band’s new album, This Life, storming to Number 1 on the Official Charts on Friday as the biggest selling album from a UK artist this year, outselling the Top 25 combined. Speaking on the accolade, the band said: “First of all… wow. We’re so grateful our 9th studio album has given us our 9th UK Number One record. Thank you to our fans from the bottom of our hearts for every bit of love they’ve shown us this year, whether it was coming for a singalong at BST Hyde Park in the summer or streaming and buying the album this week. Our focus now turns to the tour next year. We cannot wait to take this show on the road.”

The live episode was an extension of the six part Global Player original podcast, throughout which the band recounted pivotal moments from their epic career, charted their journey from five young lads playing Manchester clubs to number one albums, record-breaking tours and everything in between. They welcomed listeners into their world, revealing behind the scenes secrets on everything from their first auditions to the work which goes into their tours.

The band are due to headline Capital’s Jingle Bell Ball with Barclaycard on Sunday 10th December, alongside Alicia Keys, Tom Grennan, Becky Hill, Busted and more.

2023 has already been an exciting year for Take That, with a string of stellar performances including their most intimate in years at KOKO in support of War Child, a sell-out headline show at British Summer Time in Hyde Park and the King’s Coronation concert, watched by an audience of over 12 million. This summer also saw the release of the big-screen adaptation of their record-breaking musical, ‘The Band’. The film, titled ‘Greatest Days’ starring Aisling Bea (This Way Up, Hard Sun), was released in June to rave reviews across the board.

2024 looks just as exciting as they head out on tour with This Life On Tour, which encompasses 41 dates across 15 cities in the UK and Ireland with very special guest Olly Murs; and This Life Under the Stars, a string of outdoor dates across Europe from June to July 2024.
