THE SLOW READERS CLUB are pleased to announce the release of a new live album: ‘Live At O2 Apollo Manchester’.

Out on the 25 October 2019 via the Modern Sky UK label, this two-disc double album and DVD will document the Mancunian band’s greatest live gig to date in its full glory; a 3500 capacity hometown show at one of the city’s most salubrious and capacious halls.
Recorded in December 2018, the show was hailed by the Manchester Evening News as “a dream come true” (4/5) and by Louder Than War Magazine as a “career busting best at one of the city’s top venues”; listeners will now be able to relive the bands towering triumph track-by-track with the release of this essential new live album.
With selections from all three of the Readers’ studio albums to date, the 20 song set also features a raft of notable highlights from the band’s UK Top 20 charting LP: ‘Build A Tower’ of 2018.
Available as a double CD & DVD package, or double splattered vinyl & DVD, as well as digitally, the album will be released on the Modern Sky UK label on 25th October 2019.
On November 7th, The Slow Readers Club will be screening highlights of the Live At The Apollo DVD at an intimate launch event at a secret location in Manchester city centre. The event will also see the Readers take part in a Q+A session chaired by BBC 6 Music’s Chris Hawkins and perform a short stripped-back live set. Priced at just £5 with numbers extremely limited, fans will be able to enter a ballot for tickets when they purchase a copy of the new album from theslowreadersclub.co.uk.
