Following the announcement of their self-titled debut album last month, one of Oslo’s most exciting new acts, indie collective Tigerstate, have released their new single ‘Back To You.’ The track is the second to be taken from the album, out November 11th on Fig Tree Music.

A hazy, love struck song, ‘Back To You’ draws you in with its infectious, hypnotising synth line and lead singer, Bethany Forseth-Reichberg’s, seductive vocals. “‘Back To You’ is a slow, but dancy track about love and longing. It’s wondering whether the protagonist’s lover is longing for her as much as she longs for him,” the band said of the single. “The track is inspired by the dancy and lush sound of disco, as well as the rich harmonies of Brazilian bossa nova.” Listen to ‘Back To You’ HERE.

The band also shot a one-take performance video for the song, set against a clearing in the Norwegian woods, featuring all nine members. The band goes on to say “The video is a collaboration with our good friend and director Fahil Anweri. We wanted it to capture the mood of the song, but also the playful nature of the band.” Watch the one take video HERE.

A sum greater than their individual parts, Tigerstate wear their influences proudly on their sleeves while remaining current, fresh and exciting. Produced by Marius Elfstedt, Hans Kristian Nordin and the band, the album is packed with pop bangers. Leading with the irresistible first single ‘Occupied’, the album features the hazy, funk filled ‘Besserwisser’; the psyche, soul influenced ‘Back To You’; sun-drenched indie hit ‘Loose Ends’ and cosmic summer anthem ‘Sunrise’.

“The album is sort of a fever dream, where nothing is impossible,” the band said of the LP. “Making this album kind of felt like that. It was like everything came by itself on a conveyor belt. All the ideas and melodies came quite easily. It was meant to be.”

With a string of sweat-drenched live shows, including by:Larm Festival and Vill Vill Vest, and two acclaimed EPs under their belts, the band is ready for their next chapter. Watch this space!
