UK icon Tinie Tempah has released his fourth studio album, ‘The Night’s Not Dead’ via his own independent label Imhotep Records, licensed exclusively to Believe. His first full-length project in nine years. The album marks the culmination of a new creative chapter for Tinie, bringing together a run of new music, live performances and wider industry campaign to celebrate the role of nightlife and grassroots music culture in bringing people together.
The new LP was previously unveiled through three interconnected EPs, ‘9PM’, ‘12AM’ and ‘3AM’, each documenting a different chapter of a night out. The full album now brings those stories together alongside additional tracks, including new single ‘I Lied’ featuring Kah-Lo. The digital edition of the album, containing 17 tracks is available here. The physical edition of the album, including all 17 tracks and bonus track ‘Bounce’, will be available on November 6th here
Sonically, ‘The Night’s Not Dead’ sees Tinie reconnecting with the dance and electronic sounds that have always been central to his world, while keeping his finger firmly on the pulse of the UK’s underground. Across the album he has worked with a new generation of producers and electronic talent including Punctual, Billen Ted, Wilfy D, Sudley, and Hargo, alongside collaborations with rising artists such as Travy and Irish rapper Reggie, reflecting his instinct for spotting and championing emerging voices.
The project moves seamlessly between underground energy and the scale of Tinie’s biggest records, from tracks with drum and bass hitters Skepsis and Badger to feats with international hit makers Stargate and Afrojack. That same spirit has played out live, with Tinie recently hosting a rave with Lab54, bringing Skepsis and Badger onto the line-up. Across the album and its wider campaign, Tinie is continuing to connect the underground with the mainstream – using his platform to put a spotlight on the artists, producers and sounds shaping what comes next.
Tinie now brings the full project to life designed to reconnect audiences with the spaces at the heart of the culture. The album’s release will be followed by his first major headline tour in almost a decade, ‘The Night’s Not Dead Tour’, kicking off the European leg in Stockholm on 16th November before arriving at London’s Roundhouse on 3rd December for the UK leg. Tickets are available here.
The album follows a successful summer of live shows for Tinie, with festival appearances across the UK and Europe including Boardmasters, Festival Internacional de Benicàssim, Summertime Live and BST Hyde Park ahead of notable acts such as Pitbull and Kesha. The run recently culminated in Japan, where Tinie made a special appearance alongside Afrojack at Ultra Japan, bringing their recent collaboration ‘To The Floor (Vai Descendo)’ to the festival.
