Union J's Jaymi Hensley Announced As Joseph

Union J singer Jaymi Hensley will be donning the iconic Technicolour Dreamcoat in his first ever major musical role, which includes dates at Storyhouse this spring.

Bill Kenwright’s production of Tim Rice and Andrew Lloyd Webber’s sparkling family musical, Joseph and the Amazing Technicolour Dreamcoat, embarks on a new national tour with Jaymi as Joseph from 20 February at Theatre Royal Windsor.

Joseph and the Amazing Technicolour Dreamcoat comes to Storyhouse from Tuesday 16 April to Saturday 20 April 2019 for 10 performances only. Tickets are on sale now.

Jaymi Hensley, a member of 2013’s BBC British Breakthrough Band of the year, will don the Technicolor Dreamcoat and lead the company in his first role in a major musical. Having risen to fame on The X Factor, Union J went on to have a Top 10 album and a major UK tour. Jaymi later appeared on a number of hit television shows, including BBC One’s Celebrity Masterchef.

Jaymi is joined by Trina Hill as Narrator, Andrew Geater as Pharoah, alongside Henry Metcalfe, Amber Kennedy, Matt Jolly, Joshua Robinson, Callum Connolly, Alex Hetherington, Arthur Boan, Mikey Jay-Heath, George Beet, Lewis Asquith, Ed Tunningley, Corey Mitchell, Eve Norris, Gemma Pipe, and Jamie Jukes.

Retelling the Biblical story of Joseph, his 11 brothers and the coat of many colours, Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat is the first of Tim Rice and Andrew Lloyd Webber’s musicals to be performed publicly. Seen by an estimated 26 million people and counting, Joseph continues to enthral audiences around the world.

Tickets for Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat are on sale now, starting from £20.50. Each ticket is subject to a £1.50 booking fee.
