After its first series got viewers around the world laughing earlier this year, Comedy Central has announced the return of its ultimate LOL-fest, Comedy Central Live.

Shot across four nights in October 2022, each episode of the new 40 x 5’ series spotlights one of the UK’s hottest up-and-coming stand-up talents as they take to the stage at Islington’s iconic comedy institution, the Pleasance Theatre.

Comedy Central Live’s second run features the best of new British Comedy, including recently crowned British Comedian of the Year Dan Tiernan, Britain’s Got Talent winner Axel Blake, and recipient of Dave’s Best Newcomer Award at the 2022 Edinburgh Festival, Lara Ricote.

Viewers can also expect to get the giggles with episodes starring Helen Bauer, Ola Labib, Daniel Foxx, Kemah Bob, Kyrah Gray, Evelyn Mok and Pierre Novellie.

“As the home of brilliant comedy, it’s key for us that our content uncovers the best emerging talent and introduces them to our audiences around the world– and Comedy Central Live is a prime example of that,” said Kelly Bradshaw, SVP of MTV Entertainment Brands International. “The format’s powerful combination of giving a platform to developing talent via digital-first episodes has proved a smash hit with our global viewers, and we can’t wait for them to see the huge names and hilarious jokes that series two has in store.”

Series two will air weekly across Comedy Central’s Facebook and YouTube channels, with episode one available to watch on Monday 9th January 2023.

Comedy Central Live was commissioned for Comedy Central International by Cat Collins, VP Digital for MTV Entertainment Group International. The series was produced by Off the Kerb Productions and supported by Executive Producer, Amie Parker-Williams and Series Producer Michael Currell of MTV Entertainment Group International.
