The countdown to Neighbourhood Weekender 2027 is officially on. Courteeners, Paul Heaton and Reytons are set to headline Warrington’s Victoria Park across the May Bank Holiday weekend.
They will be joined by major acts such as The Vaccines, Kingfishr, The Royston Club, Gabrielle, Badly Drawn Boy and Warrington’s own Rick Astley for a very special hometown performance.
Courteeners make an exciting return to Neighbourhood Weekender’s main stage. Since the release of St.Jude in 2008, Courteeners have quietly and confidently become one of the biggest bands in Britain. Their gigs are massive celebrations where songs become a communal experience between band and fans with each chorus unifying tens of thousands of people. The band have achieved consistent commercial success with over 1 million UK album sales and the last four albums charting Top 5. Today, the band have released their album ‘God Bless The Band’, the very best of Courteeners, celebrating an incredible two-decades of the band featuring tracks from their seven studio albums along with two brand new singles.
Paul Heaton is one of the UK’s most successful songwriters, with five No.1 albums and some 15 million sales under his belt. First rising to prominence in the early 80s as front man of The Housemartins, before forming The Beautiful South in ’88 who released 10 hugely beloved album. Paul’s is latest album ‘Jenius’ has today achieved him his first ever No.1 solo album in the charts. Produced by Lightning Seeds legend Ian Broudie, Jenius is his 23rd album and comes almost exactly 40 years since his first; The Housemartin’s era-defining ‘London 0 Hull 4’. He will be joined at Neighbourhood Weekender by special guest vocalist Rianne Downey.
Reytons have done it all from number one albums to major festival headline slots, the UK’s biggest underdogs keep charging forward on their infamous rise. And now, they join Neighbourhood as main stage headliners. They’ve recently released their fourth studio album ‘A Love Letter To A Broken Town’ which sees them staying true to their roots while elevating their sound with confidence and intent. Rooted in the grit, humour and honesty of everyday life, Reytons continue to channel their origins into everything they do.
Neighbourhood Weekender is also excited to announce that Warrington-born and bred global star Rick Astley will join the lineup for a very special hometown appearance in Victoria Park. With a story like nobody else, in 1987, Rick’s ‘Never Gonna Give You Up’ hit #1 in twenty countries, cementing Rick as one of the world’s hottest new artists. Across his legendary career, each of Rick’s albums have raced up the charts, his live popularity exploded with countless sold-out arena shows, major festivals and live collaborations with Foo Fighters and Blossoms.
Girl In the Year Above, Seb Lowe and Keyside will also perform across the weekend, alongside a host of exciting new talent including Esmerelda Road, Mel Raeburn and The North; and some familiar favourites like The View, The Coral and Professor Green.
The music doesn’t end there though as Neighbourhood Weekender welcomes Haçienda Presents for the very first time. With DJ sets from original Haçienda resident Graeme Park and the unmistakable sounds of K-Klass, these two names synonymous with the spirit and legacy of the Haçienda will carry you through to the end of the night on Sunday 30th May.
Fresh from a hugely successful 2026, Neighbourhood Weekender is already gearing up for an even bigger return in 2027. Regulars of the festival will be pleased to hear we’ve listened to your feedback, and by popular demand, the Neighbourhood Inn will return for 2027.
