Irish singer songwriter Allie Sherlock has released her new EP, For Once I’ll Say It Out Loud, out now, ahead of an extensive UK, Ireland and European headline tour this September and October. The five track collection is led by brand new focus track “Empty” and marks an important new chapter for an artist who first captured international attention as a young busker and is now firmly establishing her own voice as a songwriter.
For Once I’ll Say It Out Loud is Allie’s most personal body of work to date, drawing directly from her own experiences of love, heartbreak, relationships and the emotions that can be difficult to put into words.
The EP features four original songs alongside Allie’s interpretation of Tom Odell’s “Black Friday”, bringing together the remarkable voice that first introduced her to millions of listeners with increasingly honest and vulnerable songwriting.
At the centre of the EP is “Empty”, the new focus track from the collection and the latest glimpse into the more personal and confessional direction Allie has embraced with this project.
The EP also features previously released singles “Trying to Un Love You” and “Say a Little Something.” “Trying to Un Love You” explores the difficult process of attempting to move on from someone while still carrying feelings for them, while “Say a Little Something” looks at the painful silence left behind at the end of a relationship.Allie Sherlock
Influenced by artists including Adele, Lewis Capaldi and Sam Smith, Allie combines powerful vocals with emotionally direct songwriting, moving naturally between soaring powerhouse moments and intimate performances.
Having already sold out headline shows across the UK and Ireland, Allie will take the new music on the road this autumn with an extensive headline tour across Ireland, the UK and Europe, including dates in Limerick, Galway, Dublin, Belfast, London, Amsterdam, Berlin, Vienna and Paris.
With For Once I’ll Say It Out Loud, Allie steps further beyond the story of the young Irish busker who captured the internet’s attention and presents herself as a distinctive singer songwriter ready to tell her own story in her own words.
