The Gathering Sounds has completed its 2026 line-up – bringing more than 50 artists to seven stages across Stockton for one huge day of new music.
Tom A. Smith, overpass, Basht., TTSSFU, VLURE, Humour, Good Health Good Wealth, Little Grandad, Esmeralda Road, Bloodworm, FLETCHR FLETCHR, Pyncher, M60 and Shelf Lives are among the names descending on Stockton-on-Tees on Saturday 26 September, as the independent festival prepares for its biggest edition yet.
The final drop sees Esmeralda Road, Little Grandad, VLURE, 24 Hours In Paris, Idle Hands, MOSS, PROJECTOR and The Youth Play complete a bill designed around one simple idea: catch your favourites, take a chance on somebody you’ve never heard of and potentially discover the band everyone is talking about twelve months later.
The stage splits are now confirmed too, with overpass heading The Point at ARC, Tom A. Smith topping a Georgian Theatre bill also featuring VLURE, Humour and PROJECTOR, Basht. leading KU, Shelf Lives heading ARC2 and TTSSFU topping The Social Room alongside Esmeralda Road.
For a festival built around getting to bands early, the final additions feel particularly on point.
Since launching in 2018, The Gathering Sounds has developed a habit of getting there early, with previous editions bringing KEO, The Royston Club, Sports Team, The K’s, Lottery Winners, ZUZU, Red Rum Club, Antony Szmierek, Fat Dog, CVC and STONE to Stockton on their way through.
For one Saturday in September, the idea remains pleasingly simple:
