Following the hugely successful inaugural Blackpool 80s Weekender this past weekend, which saw thousands of 80s fans takeover the seaside town, a second edition has been announced for Friday 10 and Saturday 11 September 2027.
Blackpool will once again transform into the ultimate destination for 80s music fans in the North West, as Blackpool 80s Weekender takes over the iconic Winter Gardens.
Spanning two unforgettable days, this is set to be the biggest 80s celebration of the year, bringing together legendary artists, guest DJs, and a full-on immersive 80s experience that will have fans dancing, singing, and reminiscing all weekend long.
The Blackpool Weekender will feature headline performances from some of the decade’s most iconic acts in the Winter Gardens’ Empress Ballroom, with further acts performing in the Arena, alongside an 80s themed quiz and after show parties plus further events to be announced taking place in the Pavilion.
Throughout the weekend, artists will include Marc Almond, the legendary new wave artist; Thompson Twins’ Tom Bailey, the voice behind countless hits; Heaven 17, synth-pop pioneers; Altered Images, gurus of post-punk; The Fizz, one of Britain’s most recognisable pop acts; China Crisis, purveyors of sophisticated, catchy pop; and Jaki Graham, delivering soulful, emotive vocals, plus more to be announced!
The Blackpool Weekender will see the Winter Gardens transformed into a full 80s playground to transport fans straight back to the era of neon, big hair, and synth-driven anthems.
