Lauren Spencer-Smith is poised to be the breakout star of 2022. With her chart-topping global hit ‘Fingers Crossed’ racking up over 250 million streams and the already immensely successful new single ‘Flowers’ that continues to climb the UK Top 20 Singles Chart, Lauren Spencer-Smith is unstoppable.

Today, the 18-year-old UK-born Canada-raised singer-songwriter has announced her debut UK headline live show at London’s Camden Assembly on June 13. Tickets go on sale on May 6 at 10AM BST. Her headline show will follow her performance at London’s iconic Wembley Stadium the day before, performing to 80,000 people alongside Harry Styles, Ed Sheeran, Mabel and many more for Capital’s Summertime Ball.

Earlier this week, Lauren released the poignant official music video for ‘Flowers’. The stunning visual shows a young woman juxtaposed in two different relationships — one filled with unease and raised voices while the next relationship presents a happier, healthier display of love. As the story unfolds, Lauren dazzles against a pale pink background, showing off her powerhouse vocals and lyrics about self-love and healing. Flaunt Magazine called the song, “the heartbreak ballad we need,” while People Magazine noted her potential, “things are just getting started for her.”

Earlier this year, Lauren shared her breakout single ‘Fingers Crossed’, a similarly personal song that resonated with millions — a snippet of the song had 25 million views on TikTok before catapulting to the charts, hitting the Top 50 on Spotify in 23 countries including Top 10 on the Global Chart, #1 in the UK, and #2 in the US. It also claimed the #1 spot on iTunes Overall Top Songs US Chart and peaked #1 on the Apple Music Global Chart, which was the first independent song of 2022 to do so. Currently, the song has over 250 million global streams.

Details are at the core of Lauren’s craft, and she always writes from a place of perspective. Speaking on the process for “Flowers,” Lauren shares, “When I’m writing I always think about what’s going on in the world. How are people feeling? What are they going to relate to? I want to listen to a song and know what it’s about, that’s why I write with details about my life but always think, how will my fans relate? I want it to feel universal.”

Lauren is currently in the studio working on her debut project.
