Mae Muller shares ‘I Don’t Want Your Money (Acoustic)’ and its accompanying video. Watch below / Listen HERE. Self-shot in isolation, the dream like visual plays out the lyrics to the track displayed as Mae’s thoughts, whilst Jimmy Napes accompanies her on the guitar.

The original single, produced by Jimmy Napes [Sam Smith, Khalid, Alicia Keys] and co-written with Mae, is a track that showcases Mae’s stripped back vocals, sharply juxtaposed with her fierce lyrics, a distinct reminder of Mae’s status as an independent young woman. Speaking on the inspiration behind the track she explains,

“I wrote I Don’t Want Your Money just under 2 years ago now, and I’m so happy it’s finally out! I just wanted to show that there are other ways to be treated, rather than just materialistically, especially if you have your own money! I’m financially independent so you have to find other ways to impress me, I don’t need anything else apart from love and affection. Treat me with respect and we’re GOOD.”

Hot off the heels of fan favourite ‘Therapist’, which landed on over 45 Spotify playlists as well as Apple Music’s A-List Pop, In My Room, Future Hits, selling out her headline show at London’s Heaven and a support tour with Little Mix under her belt, Mae Muller has come along in leaps and bounds over the last 12 months. With combined global streams that have already surpassed 53 million, she has secured her own genre with her distinct London sound, allowing her to be expressive and communicate via the music that fuels her.

Mae’s music is consistently filled with self-assured lyrics accompanied with strong narratives and entwined soulful pop melodies, a style that is steadily cementing her as a spokeswoman for her generation. She explains,
“… I know what I want to say, and I know what the message is that I want to get across… If people ask me what my sound is or what my genre is, I still don’t really have an answer
“I want women and young girls going through hard shit to put on my songs and feel better We’re going through this together…
