Nicola Høie – the rising Norwegian star whose name will soon be unavoidable come 2023. She released her debut track last month and now she’s back with a new release, the brilliant Never Buy My Love, out now. Released through Liverpool based label, Northern Powerhouse Records, the track is available to stream/download here. There is also an accompanying lyric video which can be watched here on YouTube.
Never Buy My Love’s fresh, dynamic, and effortlessly current sound is going to be hard to get out of your head in the coming weeks. It’s uptempo and original groove, coupled with superb writing and a stellar vocal performance give Never Buy My Love all the ingredients Nicola needs to further show the world the pop star she is. Never Buy My Love was written by Sam Vamplew Ellis, Joseph Smithson and Jesse Eigen, produced by Sam Ellis, Alec Brits, Jack Candela and Danny Marland, and mixed by Axel Reinemer. Between them they have credits for global megastars including Little Mix and Hans Zimmer so Nicola is in fantastic company working with some of the world’s best songwriters and producers.
Nicola’s debut track Secrets (listen here) got off to a flying start and was included in several playlists across the globe on both Apple Music and Spotify, including Best TikTok Viral Songs 2022 and Beats Of Tomorrow. She also released a Secrets club remix by UK DJ Kelvin Wood (listen here) – the perfect soundtrack for a sunny, Summer’s day. Secrets kickstarted a series of releases of pop bangers and future hits from the soon to be superstar.
Hailing from Norway and residing in Denmark, the young rising talent can’t help but be inspired by her Scandinavian roots as well as looking to the UK and USA for a variety of influences. She has spent the last 2 years honing her craft, working on her debut album between Stockholm, Berlin and Liverpool.
