When Phoebe Go released her debut EP ‘Player’  it earned international tastemaker acclaim, with support including NME, Notion, tmrw, Wonderland, 1883 Magazine and Atwood Magazine in the UK plus triple j Unearthed, Double J and Under The Radar in her homeland of Australia. Having also performed alongside artists including Holly Humberstone, HighSchool and Soccer Mommy, Phoebe Go now announces details of her debut UK tour.
The tour will see Phoebe headline shows in Manchester and London, before hitting The Great Escape and playing two gigs as special guests to The Teskey Brothers. Tickets for her two headline shows go on general sale HERE from 10am on Friday 17th March.
Today also sees the launch of the vinyl format of the ‘Player’ EP. Set to be released on May 12th via tastemaker label Dalliance Recordings (Gia Margaret, HighSchool, Francis of Delirium, lilo), ‘Player’ will be pressed on blue 12” vinyl, features an exclusive, brand-new track (‘To Love Me Now (Demo)’) and is available to pre-order HERE. The EP is an introduction to Phoebe’s vulnerable, sincere and gut-wrenchingly honest songwriting which poses questions about her career, relationships and existence, yet emerges with heartfelt hope for the future.
Phoebe Go first came to attention with the Melbourne-based dream pop band Snakadaktal before finding further success with the duo Two People. But her solo career has seen Phoebe discover her own voice and realise her potential, a process that has been both daunting and liberating.
In addition to her UK shows, listed below, Phoebe Go will also play Amsterdam’s Paradiso on April 12th and Motel Mozaique in Rotterdam on April 14th.
29th – Manchester, YES (Pink Room)
9th – London, The Social
10th-13th – The Great Escape
20th – Cambridge, Junction (with The Teskey Brothers)
21st – Leeds, Stylus (with The Teskey Brothers)
