The Script have today released their new album ‘Sunsets & Full Moons’. The release of their sixth album finds the band back at the peak of powers. Its lead single ‘The Last Time’ has already soared over 16 million streams.

‘Sunsets & Full Moons’ sees the band embracing the unifying power of music’s biggest traits – killer hooks, insistent melodies and stirring sentiments. In many ways, it feels like a sequel to their much-loved debut album. Both emerged from emotionally turbulent times: frontman Danny O’Donoghue lost his father around the time of the release of their debut and ten years later, he lost his mother as they worked on this album. Naturally the songs began to reflect the band’s own experiences – and those are themes sure to resonate with their fans, too. Yet hope is its overriding theme.

‘Sunsets & Full Moons’ was produced by The Script at Metropolis Studios. They were helped by mixing master and old friend Mark ‘Spike’ Stent (ColdplayBeyoncéFrank Ocean) plus Manny Marroquin (Post MaloneLizzoDua Lipa) and Dan Frampton (AuRa, Maejor, Jack Savoretti).

The result is a collection that’s sure to launch a new era in the band’s story, having already scored four #1 albums, 6 billion streams, 30 million single sales, 10.8 million album sales, over 12 million monthly Spotify listeners and 1.8 million ticket sales.

The Script’s 2020 tour has been extended with the addition of a huge outdoor show at the Irish Independent Park in Cork on June 23rd. Two shows in Dublin have already sold-out, and that phenomenal public demand resulted in the addition of a third night, while Belfast also rapidly sold-out.
