French pop artist Marina Kaye has today released her highly anticipated new album, and first in the UK, ‘Twisted’, via [PIAS] Recordings. The 22-year-old winner of France’s Got Talent celebrated today’s release with a live stream concert on the new platform Dazzle, which included a performance of her platinum single ‘Homeless’, her latest single ‘7 Billion’ and a cover of Halsey’s ‘Without Me‘ among others – watch full replay here.

Recorded between Los Angeles and London, the album features striking co-writes and production with the likes of David Stewart and Jessica Agombar, the duet who produced and co-wrote BTS’ worldwide record-breaking smash hit single ‘Dynamite’. Praised by Pop Justice as “highly listenable”, ‘Twisted’ is a daring, intense and mature record. Lyrics, melody and Marina’s powerful vocal work together, to represent each part of Marina’s personality bouncing around in her head, and what Marina calls her ‘twisted’ personality. Euphoria Magazine add, “Twisted promises to be one of the most introspective albums released this year”

The eleven tracks on ‘Twisted’ are deeply personal, like a diary for the singer. Highlights include her haunting & honest latest single ‘7 Billion’ released last month, which already counts more than 100,000 views on YouTube, the anthemic ‘The Whole 9’ and the deep and personal ‘Twisted’. The album CD version includes a booklet with photos and lyrics, and a poster – order here

In 2015, Marina Kaye’s debut single ‘Homeless’, reached Number 1 in France and her first album Fearless also reached Number 1 in her home country, now certified triple platinum. Marina’s talent hasn’t gone unnoticed: Sia has written her a song, ‘Freeze You Out’ (listen here), and Marina has supported the likes of Lindsey Stirling and Thirty Seconds to Mars on their tours through France.

In the spotlight since the age of just 13 years old, Marina’s musical memoir isn’t yet complete. In truth, she’s only at the beginning of her story: one that nearly wasn’t told. With ‘Twisted’, 2020 is set to be a landmark year for dark pop queen Marina Kaye.
