Fast-rising singer songwriter KEIR today releases his incredible new single ‘sadboy’. The track is available via all streaming platforms: https://keir.lnk.to/sadboy

‘sadboy’ follows on from the stand out debut tracks ‘Squeeze Me’ and ‘Night and Day’, which Vogue Germany called “A massive monster of a pop anthem”and Dork declared as “darkly addictive” as well as pushing Keir to number eight in the Spotify Viral Chart. ‘sadboy’ is a poppier slant for the Bristol based artist but still with the grit and determination his earlier tracks afforded, with the chorus pounding to life and really driving home the star quality Keir has in shedloads.

The track, which Keir wrote about being a man in the modern world and how men handle their emotions, is an all too familiar issue in today’s society; “’sadboy’ is a way of me being able to celebrate emotions as a man which I am usually embarrassed about or look to suppress. Society teaches: ‘to be a man is to be emotionless’, certainly in Britain anyway. Many times, I have opted to delete, hide or somehow revert sadness, it is non-sensical; so ‘sadboy’ is me celebrating and expressing openness. Sod these gender stereotypes. Be loving and talk to each other, never be embarrassed for the way you feel.”

Hailing from Bristol, Keir first caught the eye of critics after performing live for BBC Introducingat Maida Vale and subsequently gained traction at a series of unforgettable early live performances at The Great Escape, Secret Garden Partyand Glastonbury; he then supported The Drumson tour in October 2017 which culminated in a sold out show at London’s 02 Shepherds Bush Empire. Keir then performed for a sold out London crowd at  The Waiting Rooms for his debut headline show in December. January 2018 saw Keir tour Europe with his first headline European show taking place at the Sugar Factory in Amsterdam, followed by two jam-packed Eurosonic Festival performances.

Keir takes his incredible live show across the UK and Europe including festival dates and a headline tour in April, culminating in a show at Camden Assembly in London on May 16th; please see all dates below.
