Fane is proud to announce Usain Bolt: Fastest Man Ever, featuring world champion, world record holder and eight time Olympic gold medallist Usain Bolt. The inspirational in-conversation live event will take place at The O2 London on Wednesday 22 July for one night only.
There is fast. And then there is Usain Bolt.
Eight Olympic gold medals. Eleven World Championship titles. Three consecutive Olympic Games, 2008 Beijing Olympics, 2012 London Olympics and 2016 Rio Olympics, winning both sprint titles each time. No sprinter in history has ever done it once. Bolt did it three times.
The Jamaican sprinter widely regarded as the greatest of all time, holds world records in the 100 metres, 200 metres and 4 by 100 metres relay, all set between 2008 and 2012. His records have stood for nearly seventeen years, outlasting every new generation of champion and every challenger the sport has produced.
Now, for the first time, the fastest man in the world steps onto the stage. From the rural parish of Trelawny, where cricket was his first love and sprinting his destiny, to his iconic lightning pose on the biggest stages in sport, Bolt will speak candidly about the discipline, sacrifice, setbacks and joy that defined his career and what it takes to be the best in the world.
This is an opportunity to spend an evening with the man who turned the 100 metres final into must watch television and discover what made him untouchable.
Tickets go on sale on Friday 8 May at 9.58am, a nod to Bolt’s famous world record 100 metres time. The sprint for tickets begins then! Visit fane.co.uk/usain-bolt
Usain Bolt said: “London! I’m really looking forward to being back with you and sharing my story. My career had so many moments people saw on the track, but just as many they didn’t… The hard work, the pressure, the laughs and the setbacks. It all played a part. This special evening is about taking you on that journey, and doing it at the O2, just down the road from where I won three Olympic medals, makes it even more special.”
