Award-winning Lake District music and arts festival Kendal Calling has revealed its 2027 dates and put tickets on sale following 40,000 festival goers visiting the iconic UK festival this past weekend.
One of the country’s most important festivals, Kendal Calling returned to the Lakes for its sold-out 21st edition featuring headliners The Kooks, Two Door Cinema Club, Biffy Clyro, and Wolf Alice, who were joined by hundreds of musical legends and rising stars performing across more than ten stages.
Alongside its acclaimed music programme, the rest of the Deer Park was transformed into an otherworldly experience, with joy and discovery to be found in all four corners of its picturesque site. Embodying the idea of a true festival escape, Kendal Calling has become as much about the art and the experience as it has the amazing music that soundtracks the weekend each year. From the illuminated woodland of Lost Eden to the Sunday teatime carnival, and the attention to detail on crafting immersive venues across the site – Kendal’s 21st edition was as much a feast for the senses as ever.
Founded in 2006, the inaugural Kendal Calling was a two-day, 900-capacity gathering headlined by an eclectic combination of Australian electro-rock stadium fillers Pendulum and Kendal’s own British Sea Power (now Sea Power). The festival sold out in advance, as has every iteration since; including 2025’s four-day, 40,000-cap 20th anniversary special where Kendal Calling invited friends new and old to reflect on two decades that have seen the award-winning festival grow into one of the most in-demand events of its kind in the UK.
Last year’s on-sale saw the festival achieve record-breaking sales, with 80% of the available tickets selling out on day one of initial early-bird tiers going live, and all tickets selling out before a band was even announced. Organisers urge anyone wanting to attend next year to secure their spot as soon as possible, with payment plans available to help spread out the cost.
Instalment plans will be available across all tickets, allowing you to split the payments over the next ten months. Weekend tickets will start from £17.18 per month.
