The Blue Stones delighted fans earlier this fall with the release of their Live On Display performance video. Today, the alt-rock duo made the dynamic performance available in the form of an EP available in both digital + physical formats. The Live On Display EP features live and studio versions of the band’s singles “Let It Ride,” “Grim,” “Careless,” and “Shakin’ Off The Rust,” offering multiple listening experiences and showing a more complete view of each track. The vinyl for Live On Display will be available for purchase through the band’s store on November 27th in a beautiful, limited-edition translucent orange crush pressing released through Entertainment One (eOne).

Side A of Live on Display showcases live versions of the singles, which were recorded at Ontario antique store, Smash Salvage. On the tracks, you can hear Tarek Jafar (vocals/guitar) and Justin Tessier (drums) play their hearts out, offering a stadium-sized sound coming out of a small-room setting. Side B offers the studio-recorded versions of the songs, which were worked on with producer Paul Meany (Mutemath, Twenty One Pilots, Walk The Moon).

The set kicks off with The Blue Stones’ most recent release – the explosive rock anthem “Let It Ride” – before diving into the lo-fi meets grunge vibe of “Grim.” From there, the band puts their range as songwriters on full display with “Careless,” an alternative R&B track complimented by a finessed mix of keys, vibey guitars, and 808 kicks and snare. The band closes with hit single “Shakin’ Off The Rust”, which charted Top 5 at U.S. radio on the Billboard Mainstream Rock Radio and has seen over 11 million streams worldwide. Live On Display hits digital streaming service this Friday, November 27th and you can pre-save it here now.
