Alison Moyet’s 2024 career-spanning reworks album ‘Key’ earned critical adoration and saw her recent return to the Top 10 album chart.
Cooking Vinyl are now re-releasing a limited edition, five-album reissue series of ‘Hometime’, ‘Voice’, ‘The Turn’, ‘the minutes’ and ‘Other’ on heavyweight colour vinyl and deluxe CD formats.

These five records all emerged from a defining era of creativity for Alison Moyet. ‘Hometime’ (2002), largely co-written with long-time collaborator Pete Glenister and produced by The Insects, represented a remarkable comeback. It was seen to be one of the most acclaimed moments of her career and the album achieved Gold certification and a BRIT Award nomination.
On ‘Voice’ (2004) she made a radical diversion and recorded an eclectic selection of songs by other composers accompanied by a classical orchestra. The album was arranged and produced by Academy Award winner Anne Dudley, leading to another Gold certification and a Top 10 chart position.
Poppy and dark, simple and soaringly orchestrated, ‘The Turn’ (2007), co-written and produced by Pete Glenister, inspired the BBC to hail Alison as “one of the most emotive and intoxicating British voices ever,”. ‘the minutes’ (2013) achieved a spectacular return to the synth-pop world alongside writer/producer Guy Sigsworth, and a #5 album chart peak.
That style and resurgence continued into ‘Other’ (2017) with another Guy Sigsworth collaboration, demonstrating intelligent, adventurous electronic pop.
The five albums will be released on limited edition heavyweight vinyl, each with its own distinct colour: clear smoke and grey for ‘Hometime’; white marble for ‘Voice’; yellow and black smoke for ‘The Turn’; turquoise marble for ‘the minutes’; and red and smoke for ‘Other’.
Each vinyl features the original album tracklisting.
As the reissues approach, Alison will reunite with host Steve Coats-Dennis on The Alison Moyet Podcast in conversation together with the album collaborators, Pete Glenister, The Insects, Anne Dudley, and Guy Sigsworth for a new ten-part podcast series. Together they explore reflections and memories of each record over two episodes per album, with stories covering the writing, recording, context and songs from each.
The series will launch HERE on August 11th with the first instalment examining ‘Hometime’, with subsequent episodes being released each Tuesday through to October 13th.
